FrankenCon began when three podcasters, Richard, Matt, and Cory came together in 2021 to bring the wonderful Felissa Rose to the small town of Maryville, Tennessee at the Bird and the Book. It was a massive success and the urge to do something bigger which became FrankenCon.

 

In 2022, the first FrankenCon brought in a Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2 reunion, Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl, Brian Bremer, and Mick Strawn. More took place, like a vendor hall, a film fest, a horror rock concert, a live commentary took place for NOES 2 and there were panels as well.

In 2023, Bride of FrankenCon expanded with more of what the first year plus more vendors, more guests, added a horror themed puppet show and more space! We were honored to have such guests as Felissa Rose, Thom Matthews, CJ Graham, Brian Bremer, Carl Yorke, Kevin Van Hentenryck, Frank Hennenlotter, Patty Mullen, Jeff Burr, Donald Farmer, Honey, and Mick Strawn.

In 2024, the FrankenCon returned to stay and amped up the reunions with a TCM 50th Anniversary with John Dugan, Allen Danziger, and William Vail, a Scream Queen reunion with LInnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, and Michelle Bauer, Honey, Frank Sallidino, Ken Sagoes, Nick Benson, Thomas Bellasemo, A Thanksgiving Reunion with Alex Armbruster, Gabriel Davenport and Ty Olsson, Brian Bremer and Mick Strawn.

Now, heading into FrankenCon's fourth year, Richard Ewell and Cory Keelen serves as con runners for FrankenCon as Matthew Henry is the voice and event coordinator of FrankenCon.

Their goal is to create a space that fits every horror fans needs as the focus is indeed horror.
